Land remains one of Kenya’s most contested and emotive issues. Decades after independence, vast tracts of land are still controlled by a few, while the majority struggle on marginal holdings or none at all. This inequality continues to fuel poverty, displacement, and exploitation.
KLA’s vision of Land Reform is rooted in social justice and historical redress. The Alliance calls for a comprehensive redistribution of land based on use, need, and sustainability — not privilege or power. Land must serve the people, not a few elite interests.
Through community-driven land boards, public accountability, and the protection of communal and indigenous lands, KLA champions policies that promote equitable access, women’s land rights, and sustainable stewardship of natural resources.
True freedom cannot exist where the land remains unjustly held. By reclaiming land for those who work it, live on it, and care for it, KLA seeks to rebuild Kenya’s economic foundation on justice and shared prosperity.

Kenya is at a unique inflection point where the Left can make significant wins over the coming years and even take the presidency with majorities in every legislative house by 2032.
